Went riding this weekend to a place that i always go riding.Was there for about 10 min.Raced a few and climbed some coal hills.Well an area that i am very familiar with totally messed me up.It was a jump that is only about 8ft high.I went to jump it and as i was aproaching the jump everyone was waiving at me to stop!!But it was to late.I hit the hill and looked down and there was nothing there but a 4ft washout from all the rain.I hit the jump at 3/4 throttle.Bike hit front first in the wash out,threw me off and on the way off both my knees hit the handle bars.Blew both of them out!!!Lots of surgery and physical therapy.cant work for 6 months,and riding is done for a long time.I did wear my helmet but never wore ant body armour.If i was wearing legg armour i would be fine.Just something for you all to think about when riding.ANYTHING can happen.The only thing that happened to my TB is bent handlebars.OH BTW my wife is really pi$$ed.I cant pay the bills now and might have to file for bankrutpcy.

Oh man thats sucks You Get better dude!! What kind of inssurance do u have? doesnt it cover?

 

Thats why I have aflac supplemental insurance, if that were to happen to me it would pay me while I wasn't able to work.

Better story then me...I just broke my leg it three places..its been about 8 months and I'm still not healed..
Can't ride...walk ok but my leg revolts on me every now and and again and I go flat on my ***.. *LOL*

 

I wish i only broke my legg.My insurance pays for the medical bills but by the time i am able to go back to work my pay will be more than my medical bills.Im going to the surgeon today and am getting an MRI on my knees.I am able to walk on one legg but when i take the brace off of the other, the bottom part goes in different ways than the top.It just hangs there and the pain is unbearable.Thank god for the drugs.

 

Its no fun..I know that...hell, your lucky in one repect..I didn't have insurance!

 

Sorry to hear about that dude. I kind of know how you feel. (Pain not money) I blew out my knee my senior year playing football. It took a good 5 years to get my knee straightened out. I feel for you.
