What ratio do you mix your oil and alcohol to?

I mix mine at 20:1

I wonder if it is nesessary to run it this rich on oil

 

Do a search on methanol here in this forum, or just look down a few threads for the one titled Methanol?????.

I just did a project on methanol and a few guys came in there with some very good info. I believe you'll find every thing your looking for there.

 

on the klotz bottle it says between 32:1 and 50:1 chad and johnny have been experimenting betwween those numbers and 50:1 works good the way they are jetted.

but if it will slow that stinkin r down you need to mix it 5:1. he-he

 

raptorboy673 - i was going to mix up 5 gallons at 40:1 and try it today, the weather is not looking to good tho. really thick mist in the air, i hope it goes away.

how do you like the tires? i never got to use them are they any good?

HOLD UP! 32, 40, 50:1 with alky?!!! And people wonder why they melt pistons and blame it on methanol. If you are running alcohol with Klotz Benol, I would suggest a 24:1 mix. Alky doesn't have any lubricating ability in itself like gas does. This is one of many reasons you should mix rich.

 

the alky we buy has top end lube in it also, might effect it some
