I was just pondering whether to buy a Raptor, Predator, or either a polaris 400 with mods, or a KFX400 or Z400... I myself am a Polaris enthusiast, but open for anything better.

 

It is all going to depend on what you want out of them, Where you intend too ride it, And How you entend to ride it.
Here is my opinion from a simple stand point.
Pros-Cons

400 Polaris (Sport/Scrambler/03Trailblazer
2 stroke power, Auto trans, Smooth ride (Great Trail and Dune Atvs, Can be made to Haul a$$)--------------- but They are big and heavy .

Z400/ KFX
handling of a 400EX power of a raptor, What more could you want. (++Reverse) but------------------------(???????)

Raptor
Great Power and Reverse-----------------------------------------But down on handling

Predator
Well from what I have seen and has beenRumored
More power than a Raptor, Better handing than a 400EX ----------------- but NO REVERSE

 

Thanks Buba Hyde, I probalby shoulda been more specific. As for my riding style. I like having a wheeler I can start easily, don't have to maintain on a daily basis, but still like to haul around long stretches, and maneuver through woods. I've read other forums about this and they say the pred is pretty nice, no reverse would suck, but for what you can get with the pred I don't care. I was thinking about a 400EX for a long time, but honda just kinda screws them by not having a liquid in it. I would also like to go duning, so I'm basically looking for the dream wheeler of everyone of us ATV freaks, but that's it....

Also, does anyone have advice on how to get into a racing circuit, or any rules and guidelines (age, etc.)?

 

id get either z or or the rap
for you i think a z would be good for you good handling liquid cooling reverse and if you need more power mod it with piped and if you want more get a 450kit
or if you want more power stock get a rap
id say for you get a z/kfx

 

If you want a fast a$$ bike that you can ride anywhere, It gets kind of tough. I will sell my race modded bike to anyone for the low sum of $3700.00. There is alot of time and money in that thing. You can do alot with the 400 autos, but like Bubahyde said, it's all in what you want.Bubba
