i went to start my z tonight and the lights lite up i hit the start buttun and every thing whent dead i checked the battery and it was charged so i checked the fuse under the seat it was blown so i put the spare in and poof same damn thing when i tried to start it i dont have any more spare fuses or i would the to track down the problem any body seen any thing like this? i cant take it to the dealer becouse of the aftermarket stuff im wondering if the trail tech clamp made the wires rubb somewere well i guess i will figure it out tomorrow

 

sounds like you might have pinched a wire from the switch to your frame . if you took anything off that is by wireing check it out . usally it is the last thing you install or adjust is what i found out over the years .hope it helps

 

i have been riding it for weeks in its present form so i guess i neet to take the plastic off and look 4 binding and rub through spots thank god 4 the manual it has nice wiring diagrames

 

thank god for manuals . they have save me before . hopefully it is someplace simple and easy to find so you can go kick some blue , red , and green butts with the z !!!!!!!!!

 

my buddy is having the same problem with his Z

He just so happens to live at Fort Lewis,,,,,,,,small world.

I dont think he has figured it out yet (Dinger)

 

mine was doing the same thing it ended up being the battery slowly leaking fluid, check the battery caps
