My 91 didn't have any rear fender supports on it when I had the maier plastic. I raced it for 3 years like that without any problems. So it will work without it. I would suggest bending the brackets down a little and see if that works. Just in case you go back to factory plastic for some season.

I paid almost $8k for it OTD. That included a ltr exhaust valve cover and jet kit. The cover improves the powerband pay increasing the exhaust chamber size. I wouldn't trade either machines for any other curent model quads do to the fact both come race ready and are simply awesome. Cannondale has by far the best factory support I've ever seen and the GasGas is just unbelievable fast and smooth on the power. I just can't wait until the race season starts and I get that beast out there. I'm planning on racing the entire GNCC series and about 20-25 local harescrambles all on the GasGas. The cannondale has been moved to my back-up/practice bike.

I've haven't had much time nor people to race the two directly against each other. But I feel the GasGas has alot more top end speed and is alot smoother on acceleration than the cannondale. As for the faster one on the bottom end I think the cannondale is faster in accelerating through the bottom 3 or 4 gears but then the GasGas would take over. The hit of the fuel injection on the cannondale is so strong and powerful. I think the GasGas is going to be much more friendly in the woods do to it's power deliverance. If regeared I bet it would eat the cannondale from start to finish in every gear do to the amount of power (50 hp is what GasGas is saying).

Overall I like the GasGas better, but I think if set-up right either machine can win and I can see these two machine being out front in the near future unless someone else steps up.

I'll be posting race results, updates, and comparsion of the 2 machines in the cannondale forum when I have them. Goodluck with the quadracer they the machine that started it all and they were the machine that I started racing on 4 years ago.
