Didn't anyone see the New 250 engined 400ex!?

I haven't seen a topic in here about the new Service Honda 400ex with a CR 250 engine in it. They said it should be in the $8,000 range and will be available in 2003. I might have to make room for one in the garage....

Someone mentioned it on here the other day. It was one of the few things in Dirt Wheels worth reading. I hope it does well.
Although, personally I'd probably still buy a Dale over it.

go to Service Honda and check them out. You own that many Honda's, and have never been there!?!?!?
This isn't going to be the old 250R. It's a brand new CR 250 Engine (45HP) in a otherwise stock 400ex frame. Yes, it's pricey, but I think it's worth it.

jcv400ex,
I wouldn't get my hopes up too high if I were you. Unless they have some sort of engine vibration dampening on it, it could be kind of a harsh ride for just about any length of time. The old 250Rs had a counter balancer on them to sort of smooth out the vibration on them. This one should either have rubber mounts or some sort of dampening system. The whole quad could literally shake itself to pieces otherwise. Hey, for $8k you would expect it would.

Someone should tell them that using the Microsoft Frontpage "automobile" theme makes their web site look really lame. They would double their sales if they had a decent looking site.

I'm sure they do. Dirt Wheels is suppose to have it for a ride in the next couple of months. It's def. happening though. I talked to service honda today about it.
I rode a CR engined Lonestar framed quad last year, once you got it about an idle, the vibration went away. But I'm sure Service Honda took care of that, they build some good stuff. The CR 500 engined aluminum framed bike is a heck of a handful.
