I am thinking about buying some 26" Radial Outlaws for the rear of my Prairie 650, for snow tires. Opinions, input, experiences????? I also posted this in the KAW Forum.

i had 26" Outlaws on my '01 Sportsman 500 for about a year.

1. the tires robbed a lot of power from the ATV. normal trail riding wasn't run. it revved-out faster than with stock tires. top-end speed suffered.

2. unless you were in soopie mud, the ride was terrible. bumpy as all hell.

3. in deep snow, the tread design made the quad dig-down instead of trying to ride on-top of the snow. this was not a good thing. while my buddies were sailing-along, i was struggling. not fun.

4. i would have to say that these are the very WORST tires i have ever owned! unless you ride in mud ALL the time, you will hate these tires. yes they look really cool but that's about as far as it goes.

currently my Outlaws are for sale. cheap! they come with ITP alloy wheels. make me an offer.

oh, and one more thing, Highlifter can say the radials ride nicer, but i say that's bull. afterall, they still have the same tread design!

later,
-MT

Look at the ITP 589 instead of the Outlaw. Better ride and better all around performance. The Outlaws are terrible in sand. A mud ONLY tire.

Hang on here guys, looks like there is some bad info here.

The Radial Outlaws and the normal Outlaws are NOTHING alike. The normal Outlaws are for nothing but 100% mud. The Radial Outlaws are designed to be an all around tire. They are not for 100% mudding. They have "similar" tread patterns but very different. They are very square and provide a great ride.

As far as the worst tires go, if you are looking for great mud tires than the normal Outlaws are a great way to go, but it looks like the buy above was looking for an all around tire and bought a mud tire. But again, those are NOT the Radial Outlaws that you have.

I have a set of 28 inch normal Outlaws for mud riding and a set of 27 inch Radial Outlaws for trails.
