The 98 450 ES I have is beginning to show signs of the shifting problems I've been hearing about. It is evidently a problem that isn't that uncommon. Can someone clue me in on what the major cause is and what the simplest cure might be. Does Honda have a recall that I may have missed?

 

When you say shift problems, you need to be more specific. Is it not shifting at all, shifting hard, not shifting when cold???
