I bought a 400 carb from talonhawk and Mike Chero told me exactly how to jet it to run on my Trailblazer. I could not believe the difference the bigger carb made in performance. Granted it is not a flatside carb but WOW what a difference. I gained more low end (it already has tons) and about 4mph on the top end. My Trailblazer before the carb would have a top speed of 62-63mph. It is now at around 67mph. So anyone thinking about a 400 carb on thier Trailblazer, go for it. It works awsome!!!! I can easily keep up with a 400 Scrammy now. Not bad for a heavy, little 250.

Thanks again Mike and Jim.

Its' wonderful to hear you enjoy the site. Thank you so much.

2manytoys, thanks for the mention. If you are willing, I 'll use you as a spokesperson. When you pull that cylinder again, pay for the shipping and I'll port it for you for free. That is as long as you post the results on the forum. I have been thinking about doing this for awhile for someone, but you look like a good candidate. It will really wake up that 250. What do you think? Bubba

What would this do for me? What kind of gains will i get? This was going to be my next mod to do. But if it did not do much i was not going to pay the money to do it. Have you done a Trailblazer before? I have heard that you do good work. So if you want to try it i would be glad to send it to you. That would be good for business. I have been very impressed with the mods i have now but i really want people to turn thier heads when they see the heavy 250 flying by.

2manytoys,

You're welcome, I'm just glad I could help out. I figured we were in about the same geographic location, altitude and riding conditions, so my jetting should get you close if not right on.

I have done several 250's. The 400's are what I like to do (just because that's what I own). I did one for a guy who lives in Dallas,TX that has a HPD pipe and Ritter modded head, and he said it flyed after it was ported. I do a trail version on those so you dont have to run straight race gas or a heavy mix. Gotta be sure to run premium all the time, and on the warmer days you might half to mix a little to keep detonation down. If you never had a 2-cycle ported, that is where the real power comes in. It will add as much as putting on that pipe did. Just thought I would offer. If you want to sometime just let me know,Bubba
