I was impressed with my Works as well. I had the standard ATV Steelers, triple rate, no rezzies. The difference from stock shocks was amazing. I then added +1+1/4 a-arms, and a wider axle, and it was like having a new quad. It was literally like riding on rails. No more two wheeling in the corners.

dune- i'm running the ecact same front end set up as you. i love my works however i am looking to upgrade cuz they bottom out fairly easily when i jump my freestyle kicker and on some of the bigger mx jumps. but for just normal riding and jumping my works are great!

I have Works shocks (Steelers with compression adjustable remote reservoirs in front and Ultracross with compression adjustable remote reservoir on rear) on the 400EX and love them! Just ordered a set for the Z400, because the stock rear shock blew after only 40 hrs of riding. It blew while I was out on a 50 mile desert ride (getting chased by 5 of my buddies on Banshees--still they never did keep up with me), and the bike started bucking (no rebound damping!) like a bronco. It was dangerous! On one huge whoop, the back bucked up so high that my helmet face guard hit the handlebars.

juggalo-Are your shocks compression adjustable? If so, just cranking up the compression damping should cure the bottoming problem. If not, send them back to get upgraded or at the least get them resprung. My advice to anybody is spend the extra money on the compression adjustable remote reservoirs. Without them you can't fine tune the way you need to for high performance riding.
