I have a 200es and my moter has been making a loud nocking noise everytime the piston goes up and down and when I took it apart my rod had some play in it. If someone knows about what it will cost to get this fixed it would be greatly appreciated.

How much play are you talking about? Is it side to side or up and down? Also look at the sides of the piston, are they scored?
As far as cost the most expensive part is pressing the rod on and off. The rod comes with a new pin, it is less than $75.

It is a up and down movement. It does not move a lot but it is not solid either. I am almost sure this is it. Also i rebuilt my moter because i though it was piston slap. (New piston and bored cylinder so no my piston is not scored)

I was looking thru an old Dennis Kirk magazine and I saw that they had rods for your ride. Their phone number is
1-800-328-9280. I have used their stuff before and haven't had any problems.
Back to your problem. It is not much problem
to remove the crank, be sure to watch the shims on the end of the shafts. Also I made
a tool to remove the nuts on the oil pump.
When you take the clutch basket apart loosen the bolts a little at a time or you could break the flange.

i called my honda dealer and he said on that model that you can not replace just the rod because it can not be pressed apart. I will have to get a new rod and crank which is 325 dollars plus labor.

I have a complete motor if you need one.
I believe that crank does come apart. The rod has to come off somehow. I have put rods in
200x motors several times and they are almost
the same as yours except they have a manual
clutch.

The pin that holds the rod on also holds the crank together.I would check the tension on the timing chain also

The parts guy said that you can't take the rod off without ruining the bearing holder on the crankshaft. so i will find out. also how much would you want for the moter or just the crank and rod if it is good. Please give me a price on both.
