Default Rad hose leak!help!!!

My brother was out on our ds last nite and the hose from the pump to the cylinder partially came off lettin some of the colant out, we tightened it up and we were playin in the snow and if came off a little again, y is it doing this? i'm thinking that there must be somethin slowin it down creating pressure, maybe a little of the engine ice froze in the line or somthing, i don't know wats goin on here, if it helps if was coming off near the bottom of the cylinder, anyone have any ideas here? has this happend to any of you?

I would look into possibly getting a new clamp, but the blockage is also an idea.

no, but i do think there is some pressure there like you said. you might also want a new clamp something didn't seem right on mine, it was like dirt or sand was in it and it wouldn't tighten easy. good luck

that is easy enough to check. the gasket doesn't seem to need to be replaced after you check. or i should say mine worked o.k., even though i bought a new one.

Default Rad hose leak!help!!!

This used to happen to me all the time. I take it comes off just behind the cylinder right! This is also close to the same pace that the oil line hooks up. I tried to tighten the clamp on the hose all the time and it still would slide off. I think the hose became saturated with coolant. I drained all the coolant, roughed up the 2 ends, bent up the fitting for the oil line (them used to rub) and replaced the hose. I also used contact cement when I put the hose back on. Let hose set for a couple of days then re-filled the coolant and have not had a problem since.

I can dig up the part number for that hose if you want !!!

Hope this helps
