Default Honda Reverse

Has anyone here bypassed the switch in the brake handle that lets you shift into reverse?? I have a '98 Forman S and was wondering if anyone here has already done this B4 I go fooling with it. Also is there a way to bypass the switch that don't let you start while in gear?? I can see it being a problem on an ES, but not an S.

I don't mind electrical work at all, as I've already installed Projector Headlights from a Rubicon on this bike, and had to hotwire it once in the woods after I lost the key. (properly fixed now). Any tips would be appreciated.

The little button actually is cabled to a lockout out inside the tranny case... All this lockout arm does is keep a person from shifting straight into reverse from the forward gears. It's is spring loaded IF i ever have to open my honda's tranny case I will be disabling mine ( an ES honda that will allow shifting straight from 1st through nuetral and into reverse. ) I've never bothered to figure out how to start a in gear, I've never had an issue with my honda dying. (the grizz is another story, I'm glad it starts in gear cause it flames out regularly)
