Default 300 ex: rear bearings

Trying to replace rear bearings and got as far as loosening the locknut bolts over the rear axle bolt.
Have removed the stopper ring in the axle. manual says should slide right off, but no luck.
Any ideas?

Make sure that you have the snap ring taken off that is under the locking nut by the brake rotor. After taking the right hub off you might have to help the axle get started. To do this get a big hammer, but first put a block of wood (2X4) on the splindes so that you don't mess them up when hitting the end with the hammer. Hopefully your bearing are not welded to the axle. After a few hits it should come out, but be carefull that you don't mess up the end of the axle.
