Bigger carbs on my shee?
#1
What size carbs do you guys run on your shees? I've heard if i got bigger carbs(35mm i think) that it would be way faster. But what type of fast?(low end, topend?) I also have the tommey perfect jetkit, would i have to change that?
Thanks for the info

It depends on how much port work has been done on your shee. If you do not have the port work the engine will not be able to pull the cfm through the larger carbs. Terrible low end and take forever to get to top end, Ifyou have mild port matched 28mm to 30mm carbs would work well. All out port and CPI drag piped 34mm to 38mm carbs. The choice is yours.
Also if you are running small cc domes like 18cc this would help if you are dead set on getting larger carbs.

I also have a J-Arm 1989 Banshee, I did all the port work on mine and I run 34mm Keihin PJ Carbs with 18cc cool domes. If your banshee is already running great with no problems I would leave it alone.
Have you tried advancing your timing 4 degrees that will give you a little more umpf, or even try a little more ignition power for more spark.
Port work will not effect reliablity on your banshee, just performance. but always remember you must jet up when you do any port work.
