I bought the A2500 Warn winch for my 2000 Sportsman 500. The winch works great. I used the warn mount for Polaris 500 to mount the winch. I just recieved my Polaris tube bumpers. I am unable to mount the bumper with the current winch mount. I am sure someone out there has ran into this. I could easily modify the old mount and bolt it into the side of the bumper. Any suggestions would be helpful or the part numbers of a mount that will work.

 

All the Polaris mounts have the neccessary holes and bends. Maybe you should have bought the winch from them. can't remember without looking but i think its just a couple of holes on the sides of the polaris mount.

 

After looking at the Warn mount it looks somewhat similar to the one I bought at Cabelas. I then bought the Polaris tube bumper. Not a great fit but useable. I ended up mounting the winch backards and cutting off the sides of the mount slightly so it would line up with the hole to put roller on. If this will not work you might want to cut of the roller holder and reweld to fit.
I then welded the bumper and mount together then bolted to the machine. I didn't like the idea of 4-bolts holding that all together so I replaced the screws that held those plastic grill gaurds with bolts. To get the proper mounting bracket from Polaris you need to buy there winch and kit.
But with patience and maybe some help from one of those people that got all the cool tools you can get it done.
