I have a scrambler 400 4x4 2 stroke and when I give it throttle it doesn't respond very quickly, I have to hold it wide open to get it going and it will slowing get to full throttle. but when I let off it starts all over. I will not idle either. anyone got any ideas?

 

sonds like something in the carb just try taking it off and cleaning it and the intake stuff too like the filter. hope this helps probably someone else will know more though

 

Make sure cable is adjusted correctly at entrance of throttle assemby on handle bars...mine is under a rubber type slipaway cover...

Check your compresion it should be over 100lbs if nt it wont idle or run right.

 

Check the air filter to make sure it is clean. You also might want to inspect the reed petals.
