Trinity or White Bros. E Series
#1
I currently have a White Bros.pipe with 12 discs and a K&N power kit filter and jetting. I asked white bros. and they said 12 were the most I should run even with jetting to get the most power. I am interested in the trinity exhaust because I want a full exhaust do you think I will notice a big difference in the performance. doe's anyone have a trinity pipe and how do you like it. Thanx

I have been running the Trinity for about a month now and I love it, great power across the whole rpm range, one of the nicest looking and best built pipes I have seen,it is on the loud side though, one of my friends has the MBRP on his z400 and it is also a well built pipe,I'm not sure about the HP gains from the MBRP for the DS, but the Trinity changed the whole power curve, more bottom end, big fat mid range, power seems to taper off at about 8000, but thats with no internal mods, piston, cams...ect.....I had 20x11x10 8 paddle extremes when stock, after the pipe and cdi they spun a little too much, so I went with the 22x11x10 10 paddle extremes and they work alot better, I would think that the Trinity would would produce more power that just a slip-on.........

I went with the 190 main jet that Trinity sends with the pipe, 45 pilot jet, needle in 4th clip down, airbox lid removed with stock filter....I'm gonna try the K&N filter with the outerwears and see if it changes anything....

NYds650...I don't know how your conversation went with WB, but surely you discussed the type of riding you do which is probably trails and such right? They would be right in telling you that 12 disks would provide you with the best "power" for that type of riding.
I do a lot of dunning and ran the E-series for a while (I now run the MBRP slip-on) but added 8 disks to the pipe and it really allowed for more top end power.
I don't know if you've change from those stock tires yet but you really should if you haven't...go with 22" rears and 23" fronts...I run the Bandits which I like very much...holeshots are nice also but are a little bit softer compound and will wear quicker. Once you've got rid of those stinking Kenda's your biggest gain will come from regearing. I couldn't believe the difference when I just recently changed my front (stock 16) to a 15 and my rear (stock 40) to a 42...stock chain length works with this gearing change. Your top speed will be lower but you will get to it much quicker.
