I had a stock '98 and it topped out at 47 mph.

i have a 2000 model honda 3004x4 with 26&27 inch super swampers mine will top out at 42 mph

The 4x4 really saps the speed from this model. The 2wd version is quite a bit faster than the 4x4. I have an 89 2wd and a friend has both a 96 4x4 and a 91 2wd. Both 2wds will smoke the 4x4. Bigger tires will also have a big effect on the speed, as it has on the post above.
