Anyone w/ a Warn winch (w/roller fairlead) on an Eiger??
#1
The guy putting mine on says there is no way to install the fairlead, that there is nothing to hook it on to. The mounting plate I bought for my Eiger is just for the winch. Has anyone run into this??Thanks for any info.

I found out my problem. I got a deal on a Polaris Warn winch which doesn't have the same bracket for the fairlead, as a Suzuki one would. I put a Polaris Warn on my Yamaha w/ no prob but it has a different mount. Looks like I may have to buy the whole fairlead from Suzuki @ $56.00, if I can't find some sort of bracket. There went my good deal... The parts guy says he thinks Yamy has a similar bracket so might try that.

i am running into that right now with my vinson. for the fair lead i was going to get 2 heavy dutey L brackets, drill them to fit the fair lead, and the winch mount. seems like an easy fix with not alot of $$$$$$$

Yea, that sounds like a good idea. I was thinking of having someone fabricate a bracket but heavy duty L brackets might be easier, if they would stand up in a bind or an angle. I hate to pay for another fairlead just to get the bracket.
