Default Zilla Wheelie Bar

I am thinking of adding a wheelie bar to my LT500 for sand dragging. I have a stock swingarm and was thinking of attaching the bar to the 4 large bolts that go through the swingarm and carrier. Anyone have a Zilla wheelie bar? Any ideas for one?

I have that same set up.Work's good, but a pain to remove.Your going to have to get longer bolt's.At least I had to.I made mine so I could either raise it or lower it,depending on the track.

ZillaDaddy, I would love to see some pics of your setup if possible. Did you put a skid or a wheel on the end of it? Thanks.

Sorry not yet.DO-NOT use a skid plate,it can dig in and steer ya like a boat rudder.Go with the wheel.1/4 inch steel is what I used to make the bracket's to hold the wheelie bar.3/4 square tubing and a wheel, less friction that way and won't slow you down as much.

Thanks for the info. Do you have 4 bars going into the wheel or just 2? I'm guessing you need to set the height of the bar with someone on the bike.Thanks.

3 bar's go to the wheel.Make sure the weld's will hold.Do not rush making your bar,I did one time and I'm lucky to be alive or that I didn't get seriuosly hurt. The weld's broke from the top bracket leaving the bar bouncing down the track,if the front would have come up and over,it would have went threw my back.
