Default rubicons strange idle

i changed a broken choke spring after 1100 miles, but before it was replaced the idle went so low it would stalll even when it was warm. now that it is fixed i had to turn the idle up. it doesnt stall anymore but it sounds like it wants to stall then revs high, it repeats this constantly. i think this will just keep fowling the plug though. anyone have any thoughts?

it sound like the mixture isn't set and the slide is to high, the carb is "hunting" because as it revs to make make up for lack of fuel at idle it then draws to much , and drowns its self out, if it doesn't stall then just repeats, am I close? just fatten your idle mixture and reset the idle.

Check with the dealership and see if they sold you the factory choke cable, or the new superseeded one
the difference between the 2 is the new one is completly sealed that will not allow and gunk to get in there
also did you completly clean the carb where the plunger goes in.........also check and see if when your just @ a idle and turn the handlebars far left does your idle increase...........check the route of the cable..........try checking out the site-----------------www.ansley.net------------ask the same ?-------------
