Anybody have the K&N power kit or WB Rev box for 400EX?

I just got the two today and was wondering if anybody has either or both? Did you notice and improvement? If so how much? Hopefully, this will be money well spent. Once my Bill's Pipes exhaust comes, I'll be pretty much done as far as engine mods go. From there, I'll be looking for lots of aluminum or chrome...

I've got the rev kit and it helped. I found youre gears are alot longer, about 58mph at the top of 4th gear. I just installed a k&n w/ outerwear, rejetted to a 160 and left the pilot at 38. It scoots better than before. better throttle response is the main notice. I run a wb e-series pipe.

fasttraxx,
i have the exact mods you do K&N jet kit and WB e series, i was wondering about the rev box also. how much more rpm will you get. it won't just let the motor explode the first time you run it wide open throttle all the way down will it? i want my motor to last. thanks

A 40 pilot will help cold starts and idle. A 16T countersproket will make use of the extra power. I have done it and it reduces sifting and increases speed.

I find 4th gear topping out at about 55 mph. this is with the stock sprockets and before the k&n and only a 155 jet. With the mods and the 160 jet I would expect to do the same but not top out at 58 in fifth. I was dissapointed when I shifted into 5th and lost mega rpm's, it felt like the bike was choking. I am going to increase my front sprocket one size and try to increase speed to about 60 in fourth. I don't have good areas to open completly up except the salt flats.
