Default Big Tire & Lift Kits

Are there any potential problems with installing big tire and/or lift kits on a 2000 AC500? What do these mods do to handling, drive shaft, steering, etc?

I have 27" tires on my 2000 Auto 500. They do rob a little power, but they make up for it in traction!! Also, you lose some top end.

Because of the added weight that you're turning there could be potential problems with the CV joints. I haven't had any problems thus far myself though.

The style of tire really has a bearing on the steering and handling. Your style of riding, of course has a direct bearing on your choice of tire. A very aggressive tire is going to be very bumpy riding on hard pack. The wider front tires will be more work to steer. I chose the bi/tri claws which have an agressive tread, but tend to be pretty smooth riding on hard pack. And I think most will agree.

I have a 1" lift kit the only thing it has done for me is given me the extra ground clearance.

The lift kit and big foot kit are high on my list of mods!!!
