Default Kodiak owners with Moose snow plow I need help!!

I installed The Moose 50" blade on my 2001 Kodiak. I have the dealer installed Warn A2000 winch mounted up under the front bumper as usual (typical installation from dealer) with the roller fair lead. I installed the blade as per the directions and connected the winch cable to the large U-bolt that moose sends to use with a winch lift. I have snapped my winch cable four time today while plowing snow. Is this a common problem. Someone mentioned that thier setup used a pulley on the blade that the cable from the winch ran through and back up to mount on the top tube of the bumper. Anyone fimiliar with this set up. It doesn't surprise me that the cable keeps snaping because there is zero give in the set up for when the plow reaches maximun hieght. Anyone out there have a good solution. Stoping to repair the cable every hour or so really sucks, let alone the fact that I now have to purchase a new cable before I head out in the spring for some mud fun.

All that I can suggest is just raise the blade a few inches while backing up and also make sure that you back up a bit before raising the blade once you have plowed.
When I raise the blade to the top I stand up and raise it a bit at a time. I haven't broke the cable when raising it but have broken it when trying to raise it while still in the snow bank.

Good luck

Let us know how you make out

Marc
