does anyone have kfx hood on there z400..how much did it cost and does it look cool...thanks

 

I seen one on two different yellow 400s at a race looked pretty good would look better on white i think

 

I know that Luecker has a white Z with the hood on it.

 

The hoods are 38.95 from a dealer. I have the PN but don't want to go get it, it's 0 deg out right now. Too cold. If you want it, send me a message or e-mail me PumpknsRok@aol.com

 

What exactly is a hood?

 

Its the only thing different between the Z and KFX besides the color. Its that black thing on the front that goes around the lights

 

LEP7MM, you must have been talking to Steve. He has a white Z again. My brother wants to buy it but it will be about a month before he gets enough money saved up.

I wish I had a digital camera so I could post some pics. I think it looks awesome.

Parts that I did

Hood - $35
Black piece between headlights - $18 (optional looks alot better with it)
Back piece behind headlight - $22 (optional has holes for the front cover to mount)
Black gas tank cover - $25 (optional looks alot better with it)
Miscellaneous parts for mounting $15 (bolts, nuts, foam dampers)

Total cost = about $115

You have to be sure that you are going to do this, because you have to drill two holes in front of the headlight and two holes at the top by the handlebars.

If you are going to race you are better off getting a hood that covers the headlight. Like the one that quad tech makes.
