I have one of each on my quads and it seems the UNI filters better while the K&N runs better but stopps up faster in bad conditions.

You don't need a new K&N your old one is fine just redue it. As for which is better who knows for sure but K&N , Uni ,Twin Air all pretty much the same the foam will be cheaper some say double foam gets more of the finner particles I have not seen any proof to this but it does not mean it is not true.
I have a K&N would I buy another No I would go with foam next time just because I think K&N are over priced

I got mine from my local dealer but you can get them on Ebay cheaper. You still have to use cleaner and oil on them too.One thing I noticed about UNI over K&N is that it keeps water out better.

I have proof, when I take my K&N off my mojave I can scrape away dirt on the intake boot. ON my 300ex I run a UNI it's always clean

I've said this before and I'll say it again, I have both a UNI and a K&N. The K&N sits on the bench. The UNI is only out of my machine to be cleaned.
