Sway Bars
#1
I am looking for information on ATV sway bars. I am working on a Mini Baja team and we need a sway bar that is about 16" long, which has turned out to be tougher than expected. We would like to make our own, but cannot seem to find any info on how to calculate the twist rated needed. If we can figure that out, we can determine the type of material and its size. Anyone have any suggestions on how to pick either the size and type material, or know how we can calculate the twist rate? Or just any suggestions on off the shelf sway bars. Also, if you need to know, we can have arms from 2" up to about 9" Thanks

You should talk to fourwhls, he is a member here. He might be able to work on one for you. He has built several and they are very tough. He let me use his quad with one on it at a TT race in july and the thing works great.
