I have a 86 trx 250r I have aftermarket 8 inch rear wheels(there polished) but I ordered some 20/11/9 razr's to put on my stock rear wheels I also ordered aftermarket front wheels there polished. I have read (in this forum) that U can use oven cleaner and scotch brite pads to remove the anodized from banshee wheels. has anyone ever did this to a 250r wheels and do U have any pics so I can see what they look like. remember ride red ride smart and ride hard!!!!!!!!!!

I have a 250R and someone has taken the original wheels off. I would trade for the gold wheels in a minute. Email me if you are interested.

I have, its a pain in the rear..I'd bring them to a chroming place and have them dip them, that will take the anodizing off, as well as being cheap.

Why would you want to take the gold off? Those gold wheels rule!

the reason I want to remove the anadized is so when i put my new douglas red labels my rear wheels will look about the same. see I have been running my holeshot mx's eveywhere (there on mitchell red labels) and I have had 2 flats and I have only had the tires for a month so I ordered the 6 ply razr's to make sure I would not have a flat. I would have got the xct's but I wanted a 20 inch tire and I don't like the bandits so that was my only choice. well remeber ride red ride smart and ride hard!!!!!!!!!!!
