Hey man i wouldnt sweat it,any polaris dealer will warranty I would add the to the full mark and clean it up and take it in if it was mine i wouldnt say anything about the hose coming off i would just tell them you were riding and that it just slowly started making a ticking noise and got louder.I would think even if u did tell them the hose came of they should warranty it but wouldnt take any chances they might say you shouldve expected your hoses regulary or somethn i guess just depends how the dealership is but i probley wouldnt menchen the hose if it was me

I thought of saying that it just started making the noise ...but they might be able to tell. I dont really want to be dishonest but I dont think that hose clamp should of came loose. It was the crappy job they did with the hose clamp that led to the oil coming out.And that is what caused the tapping noise in my atv. I will be very unhappy if they give me a hard time on this. I wish they were open on sundays so I could place my mind at ease.
I love my trail boss and just want it to get better.

Just vbe up front about it and you should not have any problem. Didnt you just buy this 330 ? Sorry you have some troubles already. Dont let that turn you away from Polaris.

thanks for the replies...yes I just got it almost three months ago......But I had the first service proformed two rides ago... so they must have been all over it they did all fluids + adjusted rear suspension + chain adjustment. I might have rode 8km since then. I have it spotless and other then the plastic footgaurd I cracked it is mint...I feel my boss is a great ride this was just one of those things it could happen to any other atv manufacture as well I still am high on polaris

The oil hose slipping off was more common on 2001-2002 machines. 2003 was supposed to have the problem cured but there were some that used the old style slip on connectors on the oil cooler. Talk to your Polaris dealer about getting the oil cooler that has threaded fittings. If it's still under warranty, I don't see why they wouldn't help you out with that.
