Hey guys. I'm just taken a survey here. I was just wonderin how fast you guys have gone on your polaris. Any model. I hear the two strokes are fast. This will help me figure it out. Make sure you tell the model and the top speed, and any mods to the quad. Thanks!

 

2000 500 SP maxed out at 44 mph, stock. Did the same with clutch mod, liftkit and 27" bi/tri-claws as well. Guess I'm happy with the go anywhere ability now rather than top speed.

 

I'll let you know this weekend, hopefully. I'm trying to get together with some friends and do a few radar runs (on asphalt, 1/8-1/4 mi.) with my 400L.

I've got my estimate, anybody else want to take a stab?

 

98 sp 500... round 60

 

95 Xplorer 400 4X4.... about 60

 

I have the Polaris speedomoter on my Scrambler 500. Not sure how accurate it is, but on a gravel road I hit the 60mph mark where it stopped and I was still accelerating.

 

i had mine up to about 75 mph on black top it has 22 inch tires and heavily modified except porting

 

My 00 TrailBlazer does about 47mph, I've rode a 96 SP500, 58mph and a 98 SP500 55mph.

 

My 98SP500 about 57mph,no mods.

 

98 Sportsman with EBS, no mods. 57-58 seems to be the end of it. Way faster than I normally travel, so I don't get to test top end often.
