Hey guys~
I'm doing a valve adjustment on my DS and I needc 2 shims for the intake. My dealer wanted $9.75 each!! I've heard BMW dealers have them for about $2.50, but the nearest dealer is 120 miles from me! Would anybody be willing to call the BMW dealership to see how much the shims would be? I need them 2.20 mm(.0866") and the BMW part number is 11 32 1 460 151. Also, if anybody has some used shims with that thickness, please let me know. Thanks.

 

Ron Wood sells them for $5, but you'd have to pay shipping too.
If your dealer has them close by, might be easier to just get 'em.
I've got 6 spare shims here at home, I just measured them all and they aren't what you need, or I would've sent two of them to ya in an envelope for 2 bucks just to cover shipping! Sorry

 

seems that they are 29mm and kaw dealers have them, and i have heard yamaha has them
