Default New Utility/Sport ATV

I am looking to purchase a new ATV. I need a Utility type ATV, but would like something that can handle some small jumps like a Sport. What would you recommend?

What size are you looking for??? If you are looking for a big sport/utility and it doesn't have to be a honda I would say the kawi 650. It is the sportiest one of the big four-bys. But if you are looking for a smaller sport/utility quad then I would suggest a honda recon or suzuki ozark or maybe even a wolverine.

The Recon is a good utility and a cool sport bike it fishtails and dose ******* real good and wont flip back and it jumps pretty high for a 400lb bike PLAYA4U922@AOL.com

I think you should definately keep in mind the Wolverine if you want an ATV with some utility (4x4) and sport aspects. If you are looking for something for less money, keep in mind the Recon or Ozark. If you want to spend even more money, I would be looking at the Kawi 650, maybe the Scramblers.

I too am looking for a new ATV, I'm a new rider but after renting one I just had to have one. Everything I own is Honda - 2 motorcycles, 2 cars, I think from a reliability standpoint they can't be beat. I have been looking at the 400EX and my buddy is too, but he is over 300#'s. Will the 400EX be too slow? I have heard mixed results regarding it's duning capability and so many of the other manufacturers have newer sport quads...and I have been reading that Honda is getting close to releasing a newer sport ATV to compete with all the new stuff coming out.
Any suggestions?

Don't get a Wolverine if you want a sport bike..............................the full time 4 wd takes all the sport out of the Wolverine
A 2wd rancher is alot more fun machine then the Wolverine........................A rancher will run just as fast then a Wolverine and will wheelie better spin circles better and is just a more fun machine and thats what it is all about...........FUN right!! Just sold My wolverine and got a Rancher.................and love it! If you buy a 2wd rancher you will definitely have to buy some decent back tires.

i would go with the scrambler i only paid 3800 for mine and i havent had a problem its pretty fast 2 10.5in of travel in the back the only thing i dont like is that it weighs 570 pounds but i can stil wheelie going 3000rpms and with a clutch kit it will be even better plus 2wheel drive and 4wheel drive is awesome unlike the wolverine and the scrambler eats wolverines

Like someone else said, it depends on what size Quad you want.

Smaller cc's:
Honda Recon 250
Suzuki Ozark 250
Both are extremely agile, sporty and a ton of fun for a smaller cc quad.

Medium:
Honda 300ex
Yamaha Warrior 350
The 300ex has the edge in handeling and is tough as nails, but in my oppinion, the Warrior is a better all-around quad, good for trail riding and climbing hills.

Big:
Kawasaki Prarrie 650
Yamaha Grizzly 660
Polaris Scramblers
Honda Rincon 650
The Prarrie is probably going to be the sportiest with lots of after market goodies to make it even better.

Before everyone starts trying to convince me that my choices are not the right ones, I will state for the record, that these are simply my opinions, and are based on my Personal experiences and nothing else. If you don't agree, then you are welcome to post your suggestions.

Have fun with which ever Quad you choose.
