What the best pipe for 03 300ex. Something that wont put a hole in my pocket. and also can I just put a pipe on or do I need the rest like jet kit and filter. Or which can I do without doing the others if you know what i mean,

 

I would get an FMF Mega Max II. They cost around $240 at Denniskirk.com. My friend had a 300ex he installed the Mega Max pipe and re-jeted after that it was a completely different bike, it makes big gains. Every FMF pipe for the 300ex includes header and muffler. The header is pretty big it makes the stock look tiny. You will need to re-jet, I would get a high-flow filter to, Denniskirk has those along with jets. You will need about a 132 main I left my pilot stock but changed the needle clip position 1 notch lower. If you get jets from dennis kirk they are the Kehin "13 Series" main jets.

 

i agree with the jetting issue..........

i put a 133main jet in mine with the DR bouble barrell system and UNI filter........

it made a nice difference on the quad.............
