My buddy is looking at a 2000 Rubicon. What engine sizes and other options did it have? Are they 4x4? What kind of problems do they typically have?

They dont make 2000 rubicon.They started making rubicon in 2001.

Mine is a 2001,exellent trail and work quad.The tranny is what sets it apart from all the other atv's,so smooth and versatile.There has been no changes to the Rubi since it came out in 2001.Mine has been reliable and trouble free so far.

 

Recon - 250cc 2 or 4wd
Fourtrax - depending on year is 300 or new 350 2wd or 4wd
Forman 400 - 4x4 has analogue speedo
Forman 450 - S or ES 4x4 both have digital display
Rubicon 500 4x4 automatic tranny
Rincon 650 4x4 automatic new this year - looks cool not yet available in canada

Just some hints as to what is what, as for years and features for certain years, I can't be fully accurate.
