Default Raptor - speed sensor wheel.

Anybody know the order of assembly of the speed sensor wheel on the drive axle ?

There are two circlips, the wheel, wave washer and regular washer......

It's not in the service manual or on the parts finders - at least I CANT FIND IT

Thanks, Eric

Dang fisher, you are 4 days behind me. I had all the same ???. There is a diagram of the speed sensor wheel. Its just in a different spot in the manual. The order goes (as your putting them on. Clip, gear, springy washer, washer, Clip.

The gear behind the clutch throw me for a loop to. I was wandering if I missed something.

Clutcholds - THANKS ! So...what do ya think about that gear on the clutch basket ? I guess it's just extra but that's weird.......Am I OK ?

Airraptor - Yep, full 02 conversion. It had a washer and wave washer on it stock.

If you take off the clutch basket and grab the main shaft can you move it in and out a little bit. I just updated my 01 to the 02 gears and i'm not sure its in right. If I spin the mainshaft one full turn in netrual it catches on something. Its like its not fully in netrual and the tip of a gear or something is catching and then breaking free. Where did you get the parts list for the updated gears?

How can you tell the difference between the 01 and 02 center shift fork? I got them mixed up one has a "C' and the other says "C 10" or the like. When pressing on the reverse pinion gear how much clearence is there between it and the gear in front of it? I did it according to the manual 4.55" but it looks like to much clearence.

I didnt actually measure it when I took it out originally but the 4.55-4.60 seemed way sloppier than before. I set mine at 4.50 (seemed more like what it was when I took it apart.

I replaced all 3 shift forks (dont know if it was necessary) for good measure.

This might be the little pin swithches (rev and N) that the nub on the shift drum hits. I backed out (unscrewed) the swithes a bit so they wouldnt hit to check for smoothness. Back them out and try it. Worth a try !?
