What kind of handgaurds do you guys use? I was looking at the Acerbis Flag handgaurds. They are onlt $26 through Rocky MT. I dont know if it is for 1 or both. What sixe are the factory scrambler bars? Thanks

I have had the meier XC's and the UFO universals. Both looked very trick, but it was difficult for me to get them inside the bars...required a little grinding and shaving. The stock bar is 7/8" bar. Recently I purchased the Powermadd flag hanguards from ShadeTree catalog. $55, but well worth it. Very adjustable and they mount up in a flag style. They are very durable, stainless steel mounting brackets, and the guards them selves have a removable shield to cover, or open vents for summer or winter riding...they also come in some trick colors...I would recommend them. But the UFO's are also a cheap alternative that look really good, but they may take a little more time and cussing to install.

aussie,
I'm gonna be taking some pics soon, but here's a good website. http://www.roxspeedfx.com/handguards.cfm As far as I can find it has the best picture of them. They are powermadd star series handguards pictured at the bottom of the page. The mounting kit looks just like the rox/acrebis, but it's stainless steel instead of aluminum to cut down on the price. I put the black and silver ones on, but I also think the black and red would look sweet to. Also, check out www.powermadd.com for the actual pricing and a few more pics. Goes on pretty easily and they allow a lot of room for adjustment. It's about $35 for the flag and $20 for the mounting kit, but I was not disappointed, I really like them.
