just curious - my HSR45 had a #96 needle installed when I bought it, I'm a little flat throttling between idle and 1/4 open, but strong thereafter clip on the bottom notch 155 main, so I ordered a #95 needle today. Anybody else?
I'm at see level.

ITS NOT THE NEEDLE YOU NEED TO HOOK UP THE ACCEL PUMP

I'm talking about the diameter of the straight portion of the needle which controls mixture at 1/8 throttle, as in all carbs including those without accelerator pumps.

I'm up high on the main, bigger pilot than most, needle is raised all the way - if all these circuits needed more fuel then the needle diameter for the range lapping the pilot and needle taper needs richened too I figure. Its all trial and error, maybe I learn otherwise when I get it in, but gotta try it to find out. Just wondering if anybody else has. I think alot of guys pulling the velocity I am are running dual carbs, may not be a lot of input about the 95 needle 'cause not many have had to try it I'd guess.

This motor likes alot of fuel down low, and it runs better leaned out up top. The richer your needle[with the HSR/TM 45], the better, to a certain extent. The #95 needle is one of the changes I would do, and it makes a world of difference. Lots of dyno testing behind that advice, you will not be sorry you made the change.
