Did anyone ever try to modify the stock silencer on the pred??

 

thinking I will cut the spark arrestor screen off my end cap until I decide on a pipe, I have a A/F kit on the way also. Tried the K&N clamp on with stock jetting and pipe but it popped.
I don't have to worry about noise or fire here either though.
