Dealers are retarded!!!!
#1
Hello guys, just have a little story about how dumb dealers can be. Me and my room mate who rides a z400 went to our local dealer to look for a dnyo jet kit for his Z. First of all they didn't even know that it existed and eventually found that they could but it would take 3 to 4 months to get it. Thats not the worst part, we saw a used z in the showroom and started to check it out and sure enough the frame was totally cracked above the front shock. We asked what they wanted for it and they said $5000. My roomy asked if they were gonna fix the frame first and they didn't even know it was broke. I am not knocking suzuki or anything, I don't even think the frame braking is that bad, nothing a welder can't fix, but the dealer should know better then this!!!! That bad business to sell a beat up quad with a cracked frame for 5000 bucks at least I think.
While I have you, who has gotten their hands on the Z400 DJ jet kit?? where is a good place to order one or are they still hard to get ahold of?? We tried Moto-man but they were backordered.

Just jet the quad your self it is easy and a lot cheaper. Start with the main jet get the quad warmed up find a up hill run to put a load on the motor that you can go up in 3rd or 4th gear. Do the hill two times. Pop the lid off the air box do it again do not worry about the low end right now. If the quad runs better at the top end drop the main two sizes if it runs worse go up two sizes then try the hill again. With the lid on and off till you get the main jet set. Then do the hill at half open with the lid on and off and change your clip on the needle up is lean and down is richer. Then at idle to 1/8 that is your air screw.
Rember a jet kit is not a magic wand you still have to figure out your jetting anyway. So why pay a high price for a jet kit.

I know how to jet it fine, its not my quad. He wants the jet kit and our dealer really doesn't have a good selection of jets, I'll bet they don't even stock the stock sizes! When I jetted my Raptor it took them 2 weeks to get me a pilot jet. The kit just makes it easy to have a good selection with out messing with buy a bunch. plus you get a better needle and all that good stuff. As far as the actual jetting goes, give me the jets and I can do a great job from there. Thanks for the help guys......
