Im now thinking of buying the hot seat 250 speed kit instead of the rcr. i just want to know how much more horsepower and speed the rcr pipe gives you.

The speed kit actually gives you less than rcr and the pipe and silencer are all one peice so you cant change the silencer. The hotseat silencer is very loud. HPD would be the best pipe to put on and rcr comes closest to the hpd pipe.

In my opinion and my dealings with Hotseat and other companies, I wouldn't go with the Hotseat pipe. I haven't heard alot of good things about them, the RCR on the other hand, nothing but good.

I agree that the HPD pipe would be a better choice. I bought the hot seat speed kit before I found these boards and run their pipe. It is basically a big blob of metal, not designed as well as an hpd pipe looks to be. A 2-stroke pipe needs to have an expansion chamber and then reduce down but the hot seat pipe is a medium diameter all the way through.

Either way these aftermarket pipes are much better than the stock one.

General rule to follow, Hot Seat for suspension/chassis gear. HPD/RCR for engine stuff. Have fun!
