Default Additional 1" Predator shock travel

Haven't had mine apart, but a source informed me that there's a spacer inside the front shocks, between valve-stack, and the shock body that can be omitted. Supposedly helps cure the topping out harshness, while gaining an additional 1" of shock travel. As soon as my shocks go in this fall, those spacers are coming out.

Added my final 2 Univents today, before the ride. Up to 5 of them now, machine ran great. Multiple top speed runs at 68 mph. Also repeated woop "floating" runs. This suspension ROCKS!! Also, accidentally "tested" the Razors in some pretty greasy mud...they cut through quite nicely.

There was a Kawi 700 running around, but it only had 2 hours on it, didn't think it would be a good time to run.

Did an impromtu sound check on a 2 day old stock Suzuki Z400, 95 db. The W/B with quiet core is 94 db.

Here ends the ramblings.

If you've got the service manual, and the right gear, you can. I leave mine to local shops, Carver is another place also.

Way back in the stone age, when I was bike riding, we had a few bikes with a similar spacer. Basically, it was a spacer between the piston & the top out bumper. The bikes would top out with almost a 'klunk' to them. We replaced the spacer with a 'top out' spring. Gained about 1/2 inch of travel, and took the snap out of a sudden fork extension. I wonder if something like that would take away from a harsh top-out condition. Just a thought.

Let us know how everything works out, ModQuad, and good luck with it.
