Default Raptor Rear Break problem.

I finished breaking my raptor in and have been doing a little dirt road driving and little trail riding but a couple days ago I noticed that my rear break is totally gone there isn't anything there, you push it down and you feel zero presser. I think it was working when I first got it from the dealer but I can’t remember I’ve babied the raptor up till now because of break in I haven’t even jumped it much so I know I didn’t mess something up trying some stunt. There is fluid in the reservoir. I haven’t gotten a change to work on it yet but before I dig into it I wanted to ask you guys. Save my self a little trouble shooting time.

First look at the rear rotor and check the pads see if they have any pad left (2mm or more) if not replace pads and check for bent rotor, parking braking adjustment freeplay, make sure rear wheels spin freely when you left rear end off the groung, and most importanly make sure you are not riding the brakes (do not ride with your foot on the pedal), if none of these are issue then bleed the brake lines, I had similar problem with my Raptor and the cause was air in the rear brake lines.

Pads are new and I never ride with my foot on the breaks and nothing is bent, I was also guessing it's air in the line guess I'll bleed them tonight. Thanks for the help Hiram.

Be sure to have extra DOT3 or DOT4 brake fluid when bleeding the brakes, keep the reservoir above 1/4 full at all times, When I bleed mines I was amazing how much air was in the lines, I refilled the reservoir 5 times to get all the air out, pretty much flushed the system out. My brakes are "on the money" (sort of speaking) way better than when I got my bike from the showroom.

If it's brand new, can't you take it back to the shop and let them take care of it? You may as well get what you can out of Yamaha.

Could but then i'm out a quad.
Place up by me is kind of slow.
I would rather spend an hour bleeding and be ready to go riding.
