direct shifter help

Just got my direct shifter in today and i need some help. I put it on and when i shift up it rubs up against the motor case, so does anyone have any suggestions to what i can do. By the way its an IMS shifter.

heat it up with a torch or something a bend it out a little bit.

yep. should of gotten the one from quad concepts 35.00 and it don't hit the case
