Default Should I buy a ds650?

I thought I should ask a few question before I decide on buying one or not.Are there good years or bad years? If so what are the problems? What should I look for on a used one? What price should I be looking to pay for a nice used one? Thanks for your time.

they are aswome machines, about the same on power as your rappy, but that is where the likeness ends, the DS is built 10 times tougher, you pay by throwin around a few extra pounds, suspension is unbelivable compared to the competition, The newer the better can definaly get a 01 model in great condition for 4,500$.

ds's are nice machines, you would miss the reverse, but there is things the ds offer that the raptors don't 12" of travel, a really nice seat, a hugh chain, a great chain adjustment. but that isn't to say the raptor is bad in these areas, it is just to say the ds is really nice in these areas. the only thing that is a problem with the 2000-2001 model is the front a-arms (and this isn't to everyone) and the radiator fan, it goes out on those years. it isn't a required item. so this is just more to think about.
