Trail Blazer ???
#1
Just bought two new'03' Trail blazers for my wife and Daughter. My wife weighs under 150lbs and is a beginner. We go to the Dunes quite a bit (Coral Pink mostly). There is NO WAY in the world that my wife would have settled for an manual shift so I had to get her an auto. In the desert, she love the ride and power is very managable. I think that when we go to the dunes, she wont have enough power to have a good time.
Questions
What kind of performance should she expect in it's stock form at the dunes?
What kind of perfomance should she expect with the RCR kit which includes pipe, filter, jetting and clutch spring at the dunes?
In the desert, she will NEVER out ride the thing, but the dunes are a very different story...
With mods will she be able to attempt Comp HIll at Dumont?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

sand will steal tons of power. In stock form it will seem very underpowered in the sand. The 250's have tons of mods to make them very quick. If you are on a budget then go with a RCR stage 1 kit. This will add tons of low end power, stronger pull through out the powerband and some mph on the top. This kit is great for the money. Start with that and then you might want to do some engine mods...porting,boring,milled head and bigger carb. This will make a monster out of it. No it wont keep up with the bigger bikes but will make it a blast to ride. OH and dont forget the paddle tires. Without paddles is like being on ice without studs.
