Lakota keeps backfiring on me

Default Lakota keeps backfiring on me

I will ride it up the block and then it just starts to backfire. The lakota is all stock nothing at all right now. Can someone please help me out I would love to go riding this weekend

Check your air filter and make sure it is clean. Also check for any exhaust leaks.

Default Lakota keeps backfiring on me

hey LisaG my filter is cleaned after every ride and oiled properly. The exhaust is in good condition no leaks, cracks or any thing.
I just got her a supertrapp and a k&n filter. I bought the jet as well. I hope this will help wake it up a little and stop
the backfiring.

Yep, that will wake it up. You may want to go up to 13t front sprocket also.

Thanks LisaG I just put all that stuff on I even put the 13t sprocket and man-oman is that thing a whole new bike.
