Does anyone happen to know if it's illegal to remove the engine serial number plate from a snowmobile engine? I have a friend who bought a mis-represented engine off of ebay and the serial number is gone. This might give him a legal recourse against the seller.

 

its a felony to even have that or any thing with a changed # in your hands

 

dont know about the rest of the manufacturers, but replacement honda cases dont have serial numbers.

 

get your money back and get rid of it before you get nailed for it!
