Default 6ply vs 4ply

i have a ozark and im looking at getting a full set of razrs mounted on douglas .125 rims. i'm undecided wheather to get 6ply or 4ply tires though. i heard 6 ply may be a little to stiff? i would like something that doesnt wear down real fast. will a 4 ply wear down faster than a 6ply? any suggestions would be appriciated

I would at least go with the .160 wheels , and I feel a 4 ply would do just fine in Wisconsin , take a look at the Maxxis all tracs , they are very popular here...

A 6-ply tire will be heavier, but won't get as punctured as easy. I don't think the ply rating has anything to do with how the tire wears. Treadwear is more based on the compound of the rubber. A softer compound gives more traction but wears out faster.

I am preety sure but not possitive that the 6 ply last the longest and are the strongest but thats for like real heavy duty usage like xcr.
