Did it on my raptor, made a world of difference and only lost 1 mph on top end. Go with it, but make sure you get a quality sprocket.

My friend did it on his Z400....he went with the 13 tooth and honestly you cant feel anything different....and I have not had a chance to drag race him to see if it did anything...but as for noticing anything different its not there.

What kind of Quad? It made a very noticeable difference on my lt250. I went up a tooth a few months ago. Since then, I rejetted, added a FMF silencer and replaced a weak coil. After that, it pulled as hard with the 13 tooth as it did before with a 12 tooth. A week or so ago I put the 12 back on and can really feel the difference now.

I would think that due to the wider power band, changing 1 tooth wouldn’t make as big of a difference on a 4 stroke. Front sprockets are cheap and easy to change so I would buy a -1 tooth and a -2 tooth and try them both.
